At the forefront of protecting the rights and well-being of children in federal immigration custody.

About the UC Legal Rights Library and NCYL

About the Library

The UC Legal Rights Library provides resources designed to assist attorneys and child advocates in understanding and enforcing the rights of unaccompanied children. These resources include information drawn from federal law, regulations, agency policies, and court orders.

By centralizing this knowledge, the UC Legal Rights Library aims to ensure that unaccompanied children receive the best advocacy possible to protect their safety and well-being in accordance with the laws of the United States. The resources on this page do not, and are not intended to, constitute legal advice of any kind, including in a particular case.

About NCYL

The National Center for Youth Law is the nation’s premiere advocacy group fighting for children and youth across the country. Our national team of legal, policy, and advocacy experts work to improve the lives of children and youth across the systems that impact them the most — including education, immigration, child welfare, and juvenile justice.

NCYL does not represent individual children in immigration proceedings or provide immigration legal services.
